Motorcycle riders who want to rev their engines for this year's Ride for the Cure in Peoria need to mark their calendars for a new date.

Instead of the usual Mother's Day weekend ride, participants will come together on Saturday, May 16th to support loved ones in their fight against breast cancer.

The parade of motorcycles will take off from the Shoppes at Grand Prairie at Noon that day and will end at Peoria's riverfront.

This year, proceeds from the ride will be shared among four local organizations working to educate the public and treat women and men battling breast cancer.

The dollars will go to the Peoria Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure; the Women's Diagnostic Center at Pekin Hospital; the Methodist Breast Health Center; and the OSF St. Francis Center for Breast Health.
