Ashley McNamee joined the News 25/HOI 19 News team in January 2008 as a reporter. She now reports, anchors and does the weather. 

She is a native of Denver, Colorado. She attended Arizona State University and graduated with honors earning degrees in Journalism and Political Science. There she was on the Emmy-nominated show, "Cronkite NewsWatch." She also earned an award from the Society of Professional Journalists for a story she did on the polygamous community, Colorado City, Arizona.
 
During college Ashley spent her summers living in Washington D.C., Seattle, Washington and New York City working for CNN, KIRO 7 News, and MSNBC respectively.  She also worked for the Arizona Legislature.
 
In Peoria Ashley volunteers with the Peoria Park District’s E.L.I.T.E. program, which prepares high school youth for competitive employment. She also volunteers for PARC, a program for people with developmental disabilities.
 
In her spare time she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and exploring the Midwest.
